HAZARDOUS TO VERY DIFFICULT TRAVEL CONDITIONS ACROSS NORTHEAST 
NEW MEXICO TONIGHT THROUGH WEDNESDAY MORNING...

.A powerful storm system will bring moderate to heavy snow to
northeast New Mexico as it crosses the southern Rockies tonight.
Expect snow amounts to approach one foot between Raton Pass and
Capulin, with 2 to 6 inches across Union County. The combination
of snow and northerly wind gusts ranging from 50 to 60 mph will
create blizzard or near blizzard conditions. Meanwhile, lighter
snow accumulations are anticipated over east central New Mexico,
but strong gusty winds will create difficult travel conditions 
for some locales. Travel is discouraged for northern Colfax and 
Union Counties. Winter travel impacts should improve by mid to
late Wednesday morning.

  County, but should quickly transition to snow. North-northeast

  snow and strong winds will likely create periods of near-zero
  visibility.
