...HIGH WIND WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 PM PST THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...South winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 60 mph 
  expected.

* WHERE...Esmeralda and Central Nye County.

* WHEN...Until 9 PM PST this evening.

* IMPACTS...Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines. 
  Widespread power outages are expected. Travel will be 
  difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Gusts will increase to around 40 MPH later
  this morning, then increase again up to 60 MPH this evening
  before tapering off later in the day. Enhancement from hills and
  mountains will likely create sudden wind gusts that are
  difficult to prepare for and mitigate with semi trucks.

Operators of high profile vehicles should be especially cautious
for the possibility of sudden, strong crosswinds. Areas of blowing
