...HIGH WIND WARNING WILL EXPIRE AT 1 PM PST THIS AFTERNOON...

Snow has begun to push into far western Nevada, with winds
decreasing to well below warning levels for most spots. Therefore,
the high wind warning will be allowed to expire. 

Wind gusts for the remainder of the afternoon are expected to 
remain below 40 mph for most spots, with gusts up to 50 mph still 
possible for another hour or so in Douglas County along and east 
of Highway 395.

...HIGH WIND WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM PST THIS
EVENING...

* CHANGES...None.

* WHAT...South winds 20 to 35 mph with gusts up to 65 mph.

* WHERE...Mineral and Southern Lyon Counties.

* WHEN...Until 7 PM PST this evening.

* IMPACTS...Damaging winds may blow down trees and power lines.
  Power outages are possible. Travel will be difficult, especially
  for high profile vehicles.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Winds will impact the US-95 corridor in
  Mineral County with travel restrictions possible. Enhanced fire
  danger with the strong winds and low humidities through the 
  afternoon.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Make sure loose outdoor items such as patio furniture and trash
cans are secured. Make sure you have extra food and water on 
hand, flashlights with spare batteries and/or candles in the event
of a power outage.

* CHANGES...None.

* WHAT...South winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 55 mph 
  expected. Gusts up to 45 mph on Pyramid Lake with wave heights 
  2 to 3 feet.

* WHERE...Western Nevada Basin and Range including Pyramid Lake.

* WHEN...Until 7 PM PST this evening.

* IMPACTS...Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. 
  Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may 
  result.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Strong cross winds will occur along
  Interstate 80 and U.S. Highway 50. Areas of blowing dust may 
  result in sudden reductions to visibility.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
