The National Weather Service in Reno has issued a
* Flash Flood Warning for...
Southern Washoe County in western Nevada...
* Until 730 PM PDT.
* At 424 PM PDT, Doppler radar indicated a stationary thunderstorm
producing heavy rain on the 2016 Tule Burn scar north of Sutcliffe
or on the west side of Pyramid Lake. Up to one inch of rain has
already fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Flooding of small creeks and streams and possibly Highway
445 north of Sutcliffe.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Highway 445 north of Sutcliffe.
Excessive rainfall over the burn scar could result in debris flow
moving across Highway 445. The debris flow can consist of rock, mud,
vegetation and other loose materials.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Move away from recently burned areas. Life-threatening flooding of
creeks, roads and normally dry arroyos is likely. The heavy rains
will likely trigger rockslides, mudslides and debris flows in steep
terrain, especially in and around these areas.

SOUTHERN WASHOE COUNTY...
At 525 PM PDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms had exited the
Tule Burn scar area. Radar indicated more than two inches of rain
fell. While the heavy rain has ended, flash flooding may still be
ongoing as water travels down the drainages.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
