The National Weather Service in Pueblo has issued a

* Tornado Warning for...
  Central Bent County in southeastern Colorado...

* Until 730 PM MDT.
    
* At 658 PM MDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
  was located near Las Animas, or 14 miles east of North La Junta,
  moving east at 40 mph.

  HAZARD...Tornado and hail up to two inches in diameter.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

  IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
           shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. 
           Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree 
           damage is likely.

* This dangerous storm will be near...
  John Martin Reservoir around 705 PM MDT.

Other locations impacted by this tornadic thunderstorm include Fort
Lyon and Caddoa.

...A TORNADO WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 730 PM MDT FOR CENTRAL

At 708 PM MDT, a confirmed tornado was located near Las Animas, or 20
miles east of North La Junta, moving east at 40 mph.

around 7 pm a tornado was observed about 2 miles southwest of Las 
Animas.

HAZARD...Damaging tornado and two inch hail.

SOURCE...Public confirmed tornado.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
         shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage 
         to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree damage is 
         likely.

This tornadic thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of
central Bent County, including the following locations... Fort Lyon
and Caddoa.
