At 307 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located over Delaware City, or 11 miles northeast of Middletown. The storm is nearly stationary. Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail are possible with this storm. Locations impacted include... Pennsville, Salem, Delaware City, Saint Georges, Port Penn and Bear. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is expected with this storm. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle.
