* At 525 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Up to two and one-half inches
of rain have already fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected
to begin shortly.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 930 PM EDT FOR
NORTHWESTERN OCEAN AND SOUTHEASTERN MONMOUTH COUNTIES...
At 639 PM EDT, Doppler radar and automated gauges indicated heavy
rain falling across the warned area. Up to three inches of rain have
already fallen, and flash flooding is already occurring. DOT reports
indicated that portions of NJ Rt 35 are closed in Neptune City and
Wall Twp, all lanes closed on NJ Rt 33 in Neptune Twp, and all lanes
close on NJ Rt 71 in portions of Deal, NJ.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

IMPACT...Flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets and underpasses as well as other drainage
and low lying areas.

MONMOUTH COUNTIES IS CANCELLED...
The Flash Flood Warning is being replaced by a Flood Warning as the
threat for new flash flooding is diminishing. However moderate to
heavy rain is still occuring and flooding still poses a threat over
portions of Monmouth and Ocean counties through the overnight hours.
Please continue to heed any remaining road closures.
