...The National Weather Service in Chanhassen has issued a flood 
warning for the following river in Minnesota... 

  Cottonwood River Above Springfield affecting Brown County


.This river forecast is based on observed precipitation of 1.5 to 2
inches over the past 24 hours and forecast precipitation of up to 
0.5 inches over the next 12 hours. Heavy rains could cause river
levels to rise even higher than predicted. The National Weather 
Service will monitor this developing situation and issue followup 
statements as conditions or forecasts change.

  Cottonwood River Above Springfield  affecting Brown County 

.Overview...Heavy rain over the last 48 hours has caused sharp 
rises in most area rivers. However, the Cottonwood River gauge above 
Springfield is the only location currently forecast to reach Minor 
flood stage. Mostly dry weather this week will allow area river 
levels to recede once again.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
