EST THIS MORNING THROUGH THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Rip Currents along with a Long Shore Current will be
  present in the surf zone today.

* WHERE...Southern Brevard, Indian River, St. Lucie, Martin, 
  Coastal Volusia and Northern Brevard Counties.

* WHEN...From 7 AM EST this morning through this evening.

* IMPACTS...Rough surf and strong currents flowing parallel to the
  beach can knock you down, and make you more susceptible to 
  being caught in the seaward pull of a Rip Current..

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Swim near a lifeguard. If caught in a rip current, relax and
float. Don't swim against the current. If able, swim in a
direction following the shoreline. If unable to escape, face the
shore and call or wave for help.
