...CRITICAL FIRE WEATHER CONDITIONS EXPECTED ACROSS THE SOUTHERN
COASTAL PLAINS OF PUERTO RICO...

.A persistent drier air mass along with moderate to locally fresh
winds and lack of wetting rains will result in critical fire 
weather conditions across these areas.

...RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM AST THIS EVENING FOR 
FIRE WEATHER ZONE 014...

The National Weather Service in San Juan has issued a Red Flag
Warning, which is in effect until 6 PM AST this evening. 

* AFFECTED AREA...Fire weather zone 014.

* WIND...15 to 20 mph with higher gusts.

* HUMIDITY...30-40 percent across the southeast.

* THUNDERSTORMS...None. 

* HIGHEST THREAT...An area between Ponce eastward along coastal
  municipalities to Patillas, including portions of Coamo.

* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly. 
  Outdoor burning is not recommended.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now....or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds...low relative humidity...and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.
