The National Weather Service in San Juan has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Utuado in Puerto Rico...

* Until 600 PM AST.

* At 320 PM AST, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing 
  heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain 
  have fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin 
  shortly, especially in downtown Utuado.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Doppler radar.

  IMPACT...Flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
           highways, streets and underpasses as well as other
           drainage and low lying areas.

Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the 
warned area.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flash Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring. 
If you are in the warned area move to higher ground immediately. 
Residents living along streams and creeks should take immediate 
precautions to protect life and property.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM AST THIS EVENING 
FOR UTUADO...

At 440 PM AST, Doppler radar indicated showers producing light to 
moderate rain across the warned area. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain 
have fallen.

HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding.

SOURCE...Doppler radar.

IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
         urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

Although heavy rainfall has diminished, excessive runoff from 
previous rains will continue to pose a threat. Main rivers across 
this municipality are running high, including Rio Tanama, Rio Grande 
de Arecibo, and Rio Limon. Therefore, the Flash Flood Warning 
remains in effect through 6 PM AST.
