The National Weather Service in Honolulu has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  The island of Oahu in Honolulu County

* Until 645 PM HST.

* At 352 PM HST, the Waikane Stream gage reported a rapid rise in 
  water level. This indicates that the stream is expected to 
  overflow onto Kamehameha Highway in Waikane shortly. Radar data 
  also showed heavy rainfall continuing over Oahu from Mililani to 
  Haleiwa.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by heavy rain.

  SOURCE...Stream gage.

  IMPACT...Flooding in drainages, streams, rivers, roads, 
           properties, and other low-lying areas. In addition to 
           Kamehameha Highway, other public road closures are 
           possible in the warning area. Landslides are possible in 
           steep terrain.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Honolulu, Waimanalo, Haleiwa, Wahiawa, Schofield Barracks, Hawaii
  Kai, Ahuimanu, Punaluu, Wheeler Field, Waikele, Kahuku and Kalihi.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flash Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring
within the warned area.

Stay away from streams, rivers, drainage ditches, and culverts, even
if they are currently dry.

Do not cross fast flowing water in your vehicle, or on foot. Turn
around, don't drown.

This warning may need to be extended beyond 645 PM HST if heavy rain
persists.

This Flash Flood Warning replaces the previously issued Flash Flood
Warning that was in effect for portions of the island of Oahu in
Honolulu County.

...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 645 PM HST FOR
OAHU IN HONOLULU COUNTY...

At 438 PM HST, the Department of Emergency Management reported that 
Kamehameha Highway has been closed at Waikane due to the overflow of 
Waikane Stream. A vehicle became stuck in the flood waters. A home 
at Nanamoa Street has also been flooded due to a clogged drain. A 
rain gage in Punaluu reported a rain rate of nearly 3 inches per 
hour.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by heavy rain.

SOURCE...Emergency management.

IMPACT...Flooding in drainages, streams, rivers, roads, properties, 
         and other low-lying areas. In addition to Kamehameha 
         Highway, other public road closures are possible in the 
         warning area. Landslides are possible in steep terrain.
