Another round of abundant lightning activity will develop this morning across Lake and Mendocino Counties and then spread northward into Trinity County by afternoon. These thunderstorms will be dry and capable of causing new fire starts due to their fast movement, coupled with very dry fuels and low humidities. Gusty and erratic winds may also accompany some storms as rain evaporates before reaching the ground.
