.Gusty winds along ridgetops and high slopes will couple with very
low relative humidities and poor overnight recoveries to produce
critical fire weather conditions across Lake and northeastern
Mendocino counties through tonight.

...RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 AM SUNDAY...

The National Weather Service in Eureka has issued a Red Flag
Warning, which is in effect until 6 AM Sunday. 

* AFFECTED AREA...Fire weather zones 264 and 277.

* WIND...Northwest to north 10 to 15 mph. Gusts to 30 mph across
  ridgetops, upper slopes, and high passes.

* HUMIDITY...10 to 20 percent with nighttime recoveries to 30
  percent. Worse recoveries possible on ridgetops.

* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly. 
  Outdoor burning is not recommended.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.
