Tittabawassee River
.No significant rainfall is expected through the rest of
the week. The Tittabawassee River at Midland forecast of record
flood is a result of all four dams upstream on the
Tittabawassee either failing or breached along with a
tremendous amount of runoff from 4 to 7 inches of rain
that fell Sunday and Monday. The forecast for the
Tittabawassee at Midland is based on simulated runs
and what information could be given to the severity
of the release of water from each dam. While the current
forecast for record flood appears to be on track through 3am
there is still a considerable amount of uncertainty regarding
the stage of the river at crest and time to recede.
