The National Weather Service in Cleveland has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Cuyahoga County in northeastern Ohio...

* Until 1145 AM EDT.

* At 646 AM EDT, Flash flooding was ongoing across large portions of 
  Cuyahoga County. The flash flood warning has been expanded into 
  northeast Cuyahoga County where portions of Interstate 90 are 
  closed due to flooding. The National Weather Service in Cleveland 
  is extending the earlier flash flood warning as flood waters are 
  expected to impact the area through at least late morning. Local 
  law enforcement has issued a do not travel alert for some of the 
  areas impacted. 

* Portions of Cuyahoga County have reported 2 to 3 inches of 
  rainfall in the last 24 hours. Most small streams and creeks came 
  out of banks, notably the Big Creek, Mill Creek, and Tinkers 
  Creek. Standing water remains a problem across large portions of 
  the area with numerous road closures. Only light to moderate rain 
  showers are expected across the warned area the rest of the day, 
  with little additional rainfall. Flood waters are expected to 
  gradually recede later this morning through midday. 


  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by heavy rain.

  SOURCE...Law enforcement.

  IMPACT...Flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, 
           highways, streets and underpasses as well as other 
           drainage and low lying areas.

  Cleveland, Parma, Lakewood, Euclid, Cleveland Heights,
  Strongsville, North Royalton, Solon, Warrensville Heights, Highland
  Hills, Garfield Heights, Shaker Heights, Maple Heights, South
  Euclid, Parma Heights, Broadview Heights, Brook Park, Mayfield
  Heights, Berea and East Cleveland.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
