...AN AREA OF HEAVY SNOW WILL AFFECT NORTHERN WAYNE...FAR NORTHERN 
ERIE...NIAGARA...ORLEANS...MONROE AND NORTHERN GENESEE COUNTIES...

At 1012 PM EST, an band of heavy snow located along the southern 
Lake Ontario shoreline, stretching from Niagara County eastward to 
Wayne County will move south across these areas over the next hour or 
so. Snowfall rates will be between one and two inches per hour in 
the heart of the band as it moves south. This band of heavy snow 
will continue to press further southward across western NY, the 
Genesee Valley and the western Finger Lakes over the next few hours.

Wind gusts of 30 mph are possible with this area of heavy snow. This 
will create some blowing and drifting snow as well, further reducing 
visibilities.

Rochester, Greece, Irondequoit, Niagara Falls, North Tonawanda,
Chili, Lockport, Amherst, Tonawanda, Brockport, East Rochester,
Medina, Albion, Hilton, Webster, Brighton, Gates-North Gates,
Ontario, Penfield and Grand Island.

Conditions can deteriorate rapidly in winter weather situations. Be
prepared for snow or ice covered roads. Slow down and allow extra
time when traveling.
