The National Weather Service in Brownsville has issued a

* Tornado Warning for...
  Central Starr County in Deep South Texas...

* Until 230 AM CDT.
    
* At 159 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
  was located near El Sauz, moving southeast at 25 mph.

  HAZARD...Tornado and golf ball size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

  IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
           shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. 
           Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree 
           damage is likely.

* This dangerous storm will be near...
  Rio Grande City Municipal Airport around 210 AM CDT.
  Rio Grande City, Fort Ringgold County Park, Ringgold Middle 
  School, Rio Grande City Fire Department and Starr County Sheriffs 
  Office around 220 AM CDT.

Other locations impacted by this tornadic thunderstorm include Rio
Grande City Library and Rio Grande City--roma.

This includes US Highway 83 between mile markers 820 and 822.

STARR COUNTY...
    
At 211 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
was located near Fort Ringgold County Park, or near Rio Grande City,
moving southeast at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Tornado and golf ball size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
         shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage 
         to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree damage is 
         likely.

This tornadic thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of
central Starr County, including the following locations... Rio Grande
City Library and Rio Grande City--roma.

cancelled. However, large hail and damaging winds remain likely and a
