* Until 900 AM EDT Wednesday.
* At 857 PM EDT, Gladwin County Dispatch reported that high flows
are being passed through Secord and Smallwood Dams on the
Tittabawassee River in Gladwin County.
HAZARD...Flash flooding from the Tittabawassee River below Secord
dam.
SOURCE...County Dispatch.
IMPACT...Flooding in areas along the river immediately downstream
of the dam.
* The nearest downstream town is Secord...located about 2 miles from
the dam. Areas downstream from the Secord Dam along the
Tittabawassee River should be prepared for flooding.
Failure of the Secord Dam may compromise the integrity of Smallwood
Dam.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
If you are in low lying areas below the Secord Dam you should move to
higher ground immediately. Follow evacuation instructions provided by
your local emergency officials. Do not attempt to drive across
flooded roadways.
