...BLIZZARD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1 PM AKST THIS
AFTERNOON FOR THOMPSON PASS...

* WHAT...Blizzard conditions expected. Total snow accumulations 
  of 2 to 4 inches. Northeast winds gusting as high as 45 mph.

* WHERE...Thompson Pass.

* WHEN...From 5 AM to 1 PM AKST Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. Widespread blowing 
  snow will reduce visibility to one quarter mile or less at 
  times.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Blizzard Warning means severe winter weather conditions are
expected or occurring. Falling and blowing snow with strong winds
and poor visibilities are likely. This will lead to whiteout
conditions, making travel very hazardous. If you must travel,
have a winter survival kit with you.If you get stranded, stay
with your vehicle.

...BLIZZARD WARNING FOR THOMPSON PASS WIlL EXPIRE AT 1 PM AKST...

Winds have shifted to southeast and temperatures have warmed
considerably. While there may still be pockets of reduced
visibility in heavy snow, the threat for long duration blizzard 
conditions no longer exists.
