The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has issued a

* Tornado Warning for...
  Northwestern Roosevelt County in east central New Mexico...
  Southeastern De Baca County in east central New Mexico...
  North central Chaves County in southeastern New Mexico...

* Until 545 PM MDT..

* At 520 PM MDT, severe thunderstorms capable of producing brief 
  tornadoes were located 26 miles east of Mesa, or 27 miles south of 
  Fort Sumner, moving northeast at 40 mph.

  HAZARD...Tornado.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

  IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
           shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. 
           Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree 
           damage is likely.

* This tornadic thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of
  northwestern Roosevelt, southeastern De Baca and north central
  Chaves Counties.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest
floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a
mobile home, or in a vehicle, move to the closest substantial shelter
and protect yourself from flying debris.

This cluster of thunderstorms is capable of producing tornadoes and
widespread significant wind damage. Do not wait to see or hear the
