The National Weather Service in Tampa Bay Ruskin has issued a High Surf Advisory, which is in effect until 10 AM EDT Sunday. A High Rip Current Risk has also been issued. This High Rip Current Risk is in effect through Sunday morning. * HIGH SURF...A long period westerly swell combined with 3-4 foot wind wave will produce high surf along local beaches through Sunday morning. * HIGH SURF TIMING...High surf along local beaches can be expected through Sunday morning. * HIGH SURF IMPACTS...Rough surf can knock you down and make you even more susceptible to becoming caught in the seaward pull of a rip current. * RIP CURRENT TIMING...Increasing wave action will create rip currents along area beaches through Sunday morning. * RIP CURRENT IMPACTS...Life threatening Rip Currents are possible. Always swim near a lifeguard, and never swim alone! PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
