...COASTAL FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 2 AM TO 5 PM EDT FRIDAY...

The National Weather Service in Tallahassee has issued a Coastal
Flood Warning, which is in effect from 2 AM to 5 PM EDT Friday.
The Coastal Flood Watch is no longer in effect. 

* COASTAL FLOODING...Minor to moderate coastal flooding expected
  with water levels 2.5 to 4 feet above ground. The highest water
  levels along the coast are expected from Steinhatchee southward
  to Suwannee. 
  
* TIMING...Water levels will increase starting early Friday 
  morning. Peak water levels are expected Friday afternoon. At 
  Steinhatchee, high tides are 238 am ET and 232 pm ET Friday. 

* IMPACTS...At 3 feet, water will impact beach access roads in
  Steinhatchee, Ezell Beach, and Keaton Beach. Water overtops the
  seawall in Horseshoe Beach. In Suwannee, most canals begin to
  flood impacting non-elevated structures. At 4 feet, more
  significant flooding affects coastal areas between Steinhatchee
  and Suwannee, impacting more non-elevated structures. 

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Coastal Flood Warning means that flooding is occurring or
imminent. Coastal residents in the warned area should be alert
for rising water, and take appropriate action to protect life and
property.

The National Weather Service in Tallahassee has issued a Coastal
Flood Advisory, which is in effect from 2 AM to 5 PM EDT Friday.
The Coastal Flood Watch is no longer in effect. 

* COASTAL FLOODING...Minor coastal flooding expected with water
  levels 1 to 2 feet above ground, mainly east of Apalachicola.  

* TIMING...Water levels will increase starting early Friday 
  morning. Peak water levels are expected Friday afternoon. At 
  Alligator Point, high tides are 252 am ET and 247 pm ET 
  Friday. 

* IMPACTS...Low lying beach access roads will flood. Portions of
  Alligator Point Road will experience overwash around the time 
  of high tide. 

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Coastal Flood Advisory indicates that onshore winds and tides
will combine to generate flooding of low areas along the shore.

There is a high risk of rip currents.

Rip currents are powerful channels of water flowing quickly away
from shore, which occur most often at low spots or breaks in the
sandbar and in the vicinity of structures such as groins, jetties
and piers. Heed the advice of lifeguards, beach patrol flags and
signs.

If you become caught in a rip current, yell for help. Remain
calm, do not exhaust yourself and stay afloat while waiting for
help. If you have to swim out of a rip current, swim parallel to
shore and back toward the beach when possible. Do not attempt to
swim directly against a rip current as you will tire quickly.

* TIMING...Water levels will increase starting early Friday 
  morning. Peak water levels are expected Friday afternoon. At 
  St Marks, high tides are 336 am ET and 331 pm ET Friday. 

* IMPACTS...At 2 feet, water will flood low lying roads near the
  waterfront in Panacea and St Marks. At 3 feet, water will flood
  portions of Riverside Drive in St Marks.
