The National Weather Service in Salt Lake City has issued a
* Flash Flood Warning for...
South central Utah County in northern Utah...
* Until 530 PM MDT
* At 335 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated a thunderstorm producing
heavy rain over the Pole Creek burn scar near the town of Birdseye
along highway 89. Up to one half inch of rain has fallen so far,
estimated by radar. Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Birdseye.
Excessive rainfall over the Pole Creek burn scar will result in
debris flow moving through highway 89 through the town of Birdseye.
The debris flow can consist of rock, mud, vegetation and other loose
materials.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
If a debris flow has occurred it is important to realize that the
runout area remains very dangerous. Additional debris flows may occur
within minutes of the original flow. Please remain vigilant and be
prepared to take swift action.
A Flash Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring.

Residents living along streams and creeks should take immediate

SOUTH CENTRAL UTAH COUNTY...
At 437 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy
rain have moved out of the area, however flash flooding along
highway 89 near Birdseye and across the Pole Creek burn scar may be
at the peak of intensity. This is likely resulting in flash
flooding. Debris and mud flow are possible across roadways.
