...Dangerous Conditions Developing along Lake Michigan Today...
.Strengthening north to northeast winds will cause high waves to
build along the Lake Michigan shore this afternoon and tonight.
Waves will increase to 3 to 5 feet creating dangerous swimming
conditions.
In addition, the near record high lake levels in combination with
the high waves will likely cause spotty shoreline flooding and
erosion and possibly damage to structures along the shore
including marinas as well as vessels. Take the necessary
precautions to guard against the potential damage.

The National Weather Service in Milwaukee/Sullivan has issued a
Lakeshore Flood Advisory...Which is in effect from 1 PM this
afternoon to 4 AM CDT Sunday. A Beach Hazards Statement has also
been issued. This Beach Hazards Statement for dangerous swimming
conditions is in effect from 1 PM CDT this afternoon through this
evening.
* Winds...North 10 to 15 mph will increase to 15 to 25 mph and
become north to northeast later this morning, and continue into
tonight.
* Waves...1 to 3 feet increasing to 3 to 5 feet this afternoon.
* HIGH WAVE ACTION... Large waves and dangerous currents are
expected. Conditions are life threatening.
* STRONG STRUCTURAL AND LONGSHORE CURRENTS ARE EXPECTED. RIP
