Afternoon winds have created a high risk of rip currents along the
northwest coast of Puerto Rico.

...HIGH RIP CURRENT RISK IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM AST THIS EVENING...

The National Weather Service in SAN JUAN has issued a High Rip
Current Risk, which is in effect until 6 PM AST this evening. 

* LOCATION...the beaches of northwest Puerto Rico.

* TIMING...Until 6 PM AST.

* IMPACTS...Strong currents that can carry out to sea even the
  best of swimmers.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

There is a high risk of rip currents.

Swim near a lifeguard. If caught in a rip current, relax and
float. Don't swim against the current. If able, swim in a
direction following the shoreline. If unable to escape, face the
shore and call or wave for help.
