The National Weather Service in SAN JUAN has issued a High Rip
Current Risk, which is in effect late Thursday afternoon. 

* LOCATION...At and around Culebrita beach.
  

* TIMING...Through late Thursday afternoon.

* IMPACTS....Strong currents that can carry even the best of 
  swimmers out to sea. 

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

There is a high risk of rip currents.

Swim near a lifeguard. If caught in a rip current, relax and
float. Don't swim against the current. If able, swim in a
direction following the shoreline. If unable to escape, face the
shore and call or wave for help.
