...HIGH RIP CURRENT RISK IN EFFECT THROUGH LATE SATURDAY NIGHT...

...SHALLOW COASTAL FLOODING POSSIBLE DURING TIMES OF HIGH TIDE 
THIS WEEKEND AND EARLY NEXT WEEK...

* LOCATIONS...Atlantic coastal areas of Southeast Georgia and
  Northeast Florida.

* TIDAL DEPARTURE...The combination of the moderate onshore flow
  and approach of the New Moon and associated King Tides will
  produce above normal water levels during times of high tide.

* COASTAL FLOOD IMPACTS...Possible shallow coastal flooding 
  during times of high tide especially in the more flood prone and
  low lying areas.

* SURF AND RIP CURRENT RISK...Rough Surf of 3 to 5 feet and high 
  rip current risk is expected.

* SHORELINE IMPACTS...Minor beach erosion during times of high 
  tide.

* TIMING...High Risk of Rip Currents This weekend while possible
  shallow coastal flooding will linger through early next week.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

There is a High Risk of rip currents.

Rip currents will be life threatening.

Rip currents are powerful channels of water flowing quickly away
from shore, which occur most often at low spots or breaks in the
sandbar and in the vicinity of structures such as groins, jetties
and piers. Heed the advice of lifeguards and the beach patrol.
Pay attention to flags and posted signs.

Swim near a lifeguard. If caught in a rip current remain calm.
Don't fight the current. Swim in a direction following the
shoreline. If unable to escape, face the shore and call or wave
for help. If tired, float or tread water until out of the rip
current.
