South Beach in South Haven... Grand Haven State park... Pere Marquette Park in Muskegon. * OVERVIEW/POTENTIAL IMPACTS...South winds will increase this afternoon and continue into Saturday. Waves will increase from north to south along the lake shore. With south flow, the southern side of piers and breakwalls will be favored areas for structural currents. What this means is that those swimming on the south side of a pier may find themselves being pushed out into the lake, due to the current. Strong currents may also develop between the beach and the second sand bar, which is deeper this year due to the higher lake levels. These strong currents will tend to push swimmers north along the lake shore. Extreme caution is urged! PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
