...HIGH RIP CURRENT RISK IN EFFECT FROM SUNDAY MORNING THROUGH
SUNDAY EVENING...
The National Weather Service in Charleston has issued a Coastal
Flood Warning, which is in effect from 7 PM this evening to 1 AM EDT
Sunday. A High Rip Current Risk has also been issued. This High Rip
Current Risk is in effect from Sunday morning through Sunday
evening. The Coastal Flood Watch is no longer in effect.
* LOCATIONS...In South Carolina, Coastal Jasper. In Georgia,
Coastal Bryan, Coastal Chatham, Coastal Liberty and Coastal
McIntosh.
* COASTAL FLOOD IMPACTS...Up to one foot of inundation above ground
level is possible in low-lying areas near shorelines and tidal
waterways (9.8 to 10.2 feet Mean Lower Low Water). Numerous roads
will be flooded, along with some properties. Highway 80 to Tybee
Island will be impassable.
* SURF ZONE IMPACTS...Very strong rip currents will be dangerous to
anyone who enters the surf.
* TIMING...High tide will occur around 9:49 PM today at Fort Pulaski.
Saltwater inundation will be possible 2 to 3 hours before and
after high tide.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone property. If
travel is required, do not drive around barricades or through water
of unknown depth.
No one should enter the surf due to life threatening rip currents.

SUNDAY EVENING...
The National Weather Service in Charleston has issued a Coastal
Flood Warning, which is in effect from 7 PM this evening to 1 AM EDT
Sunday. A High Rip Current Risk has also been issued. This High Rip

anyone who enters the surf.
* TIMING...High tide will occur around 9:43 PM today at Charleston.

after high tide.

McIntosh.
* COASTAL FLOOD IMPACTS...Up to one foot of inundation above ground
level is possible in low-lying areas near shorelines and tidal
waterways (9.7 to 10.1 feet Mean Lower Low Water). Saltwater
inundation will impact some roads, including Highway 80 to Tybee
