The National Weather Service in Albany has issued a

* Tornado Warning for...
  Southern Hamilton County in eastern New York...
  Northern Fulton County in eastern New York...
  East central Herkimer County in eastern New York...

* Until 530 PM EDT.
    
* At 439 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
  was located 8 miles north of Stratford, or 19 miles northeast of
  Little Falls, moving east at 35 mph.

  HAZARD...Tornado and half dollar size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

  IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
           shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. 
           Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree 
           damage is likely.

* This dangerous storm will be near...
  Lake Pleasant around 510 PM EDT.
  Wells and Sacandaga Campground around 515 PM EDT.

Other locations impacted by this tornadic thunderstorm include
Oregon, Arietta, Gilmantown, Powley Place, Hope Falls, Benson,
Rudeston, Clockmill Corners, Blackbridge and Averys Place.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest
floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. If you are outdoors, in a

SOUTHEASTERN HAMILTON COUNTY...
    
At 516 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
was located over Wells, or 14 miles south of Speculator, moving east
at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Tornado and half dollar size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
         shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage 
         to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree damage is 
         likely.

This tornadic thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of
southeastern Hamilton County, including the following locations...
Arietta, Gilmantown, Hope Falls, Benson, Rudeston, Blackbridge,
Averys Place, Whitehouse, Shaker Place and Maple Grove.
