The National Weather Service in Salt Lake City has issued a Wind Advisory, which is in effect from 7 AM Sunday to 11 AM MST Monday. * AFFECTED AREA...Near north-south running canyons and adjacent mountains in Washington County. * WINDS...Northeast winds 25-35 mph with gusts to around 50 mph. * TIMING...Increasing late tonight and remaining strong through Sunday and Sunday night before gradually diminishing Monday morning. * IMPACTS...The strongest winds are expected along the Interstate 15 corridor from the town of Washington to the Iron county line, as well as along the Bull Valley and Beaver Dam mountains. Those participating in outdoor activities should be prepared for strong wind gusts. Wind sensitive operations may be impacted. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A Wind Advisory means that sustained wind speeds of at least 31 mph or gusts of 45 mph are expected.
