* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Southern Webster County in southwestern Missouri...
  Northwestern Douglas County in southwestern Missouri...
  Wright County in southwestern Missouri...
  Northeastern Christian County in southwestern Missouri...

* Until 400 PM CDT.

* At 1004 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
  heavy rain across the warned area. Up to three inches of rain have
  already fallen. Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly.

* Creeks, streams, and low water crossings will be especially
  susceptible to the dangers of flash flooding.

...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 400 PM CDT FOR
SOUTHERN WEBSTER...NORTHWESTERN DOUGLAS...WRIGHT AND NORTHEASTERN
CHRISTIAN COUNTIES...

At 1105 AM CDT, The Department of Transportation reported heavy rain 
from thunderstorms over the warned area. In excess of three inches 
of rain have already fallen across portions of the warned area. 
Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly.

This warning includes but is not limited to the following low water
crossings...
Route E north of Highway 38 at The Gasconade River...
Route U at Pedelo Creek northeast of Sparta...
Route Y at Cowskin Creek 3 miles west of Ava...
Route A just south of Marshfield...
and Route Z at Finley Creek 3 miles southeast of Fordland.

Additional rainfall amounts of around and inch are possible in the 
warned area. At 1030 am the media relayed a report that 1.68 inches 
of rain fell in one hour near Sparta. The Missouri Department of 
Transportation also reported that Highways 125 and C were closed due 
to flooding.

If you are in the warned area move to higher ground immediately.
Residents living along streams and creeks should take immediate
precautions to protect life and property.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
