...Localized coastal flooding on Barnegat Bay through this evening...
* LOCATIONS...Along Barnegat Bay.
* TIMING...There could be prolonged tidal flooding on Barnegat Bay
only through the day, but there could be a lull around low tide
this afternoon.
* COASTAL FLOOD IMPACTS...Up to one half foot of saltwater
inundation above ground level is possible in low-lying areas
near shorelines and tidal waterways. Some locations that could
be affected include Bay Head, Mantoloking, Brick Township, and
Silverton.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Do not leave your vehicle at a location that is prone to tidal
flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flood waters. The
water may be deeper than you think it is. You will be putting
yourself in danger and your vehicle may be damaged...leading to
costly repairs.
