The National Weather Service in The Twin Cities has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Southwestern Hennepin County in east central Minnesota...
  Scott County in east central Minnesota...
  Southeastern Carver County in east central Minnesota...

* Until 715 PM CDT

* At 646 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
  extending from near Watertown to Cologne to near Henderson, moving
  east at 35 mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts. 

  SOURCE...Trained weather spotters. 

  IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees. 

* Severe thunderstorms will be near,
  Chaska and St. Bonifacius around 655 PM CDT. 
  Mound, Minnetrista and Carver around 700 PM CDT. 
  Chanhassen, Orono, Victoria and Jordan around 705 PM CDT. 
  Excelsior around 710 PM CDT. 
  Minnetonka, Shakopee, Prior Lake, Hopkins and Wayzata around 715 
  PM CDT.

indoors or inside a vehicle. Remember, lightning can strike out to 
15 miles from the parent thunderstorm. If you can hear thunder, you 
are close enough to be struck by lightning. Move to safe shelter 
now!  Do not be caught on the water in a thunderstorm.
