...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 200 AM CDT FOR
SOUTHWESTERN OZAUKEE AND NORTHERN MILWAUKEE COUNTIES...

At 1152 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing 
heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2.00 to 3.50 inches of 
rain have already fallen. Flash flooding is expected to begin 
shortly, or is already occurring.

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Milwaukee, West Allis, Wauwatosa, Mequon, Whitefish Bay, Brown Deer,
Grafton, Cedarburg, Port Washington, Fox Point, Bayside, West
Milwaukee, Thiensville, Butler, River Hills, Milwaukee Hoan Bridge,
Shorewood, Marquette University, UW-
Milwaukee and Milwaukee Bradford Beach.

Additional rainfall amounts of up to 0.50 inches are possible in 
southern Ozaukee County over the next hour. Most of the thunderstorm 
activity has moved out of Milwaukee County. 

However, runoff from the heavy rainfall will cause flash flooding 
for the next few hours across low lying areas, especially small 
creeks and streams, and streets and intersections at the bottom of 
hills and in low spots. Do not drive into flooded roads!

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as
well as other drainage areas and low lying spots.
