SATURDAY...
...FREEZE WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 1 AM TO 10 AM CDT SATURDAY...

The National Weather Service in Lubbock has issued a Freeze
Warning, which is in effect from 1 AM to 10 AM CDT Saturday. A
Wind Advisory has also been issued. This Wind Advisory is in
effect from 3 PM this afternoon to 1 AM CDT Saturday. The Freeze
Watch is no longer in effect. 

* TIMING...Strong winds and cold air will will invade behind a
  cold front. The winds will peak late this afternoon into this
  evening, while the sub-freezing temperatures will occur late
  tonight into Saturday morning.

* WINDS...Northeasterly winds of 25 to 35 mph with gusts to 45 to
  50 mph.

* Temperature...Low temperatures are expected to drop into the 
  upper 20s to lower 30s late tonight. 

* IMPACTS... Strong winds will make travel difficult, especially
  for high profile vehicles. In addition, the winds will loft
  areas of blowing dust creating reduced visibilities. Freezing 
  temperatures will harm or kill tender vegetation that is left 
  outdoors and unprotected.
  

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Freeze Warning means sub-freezing temperatures are imminent.
These conditions will kill crops and other sensitive vegetation.

A Wind Advisory means that sustained winds of 30 to 39 mph are
expected. Adjust travel and outdoor activities accordingly.
