...GUSTY WEST TO NORTHWEST WINDS ACROSS THE ANTELOPE VALLEY THIS
AFTERNOON THROUGH MUCH OF THIS EVENING...

.Gusty west winds will strengthen to 20 to 35 mph with gusts to 
45 mph this afternoon across much of the Antelope Valley. 
Strongest across the western portion where isolated gusts to 50
mph will occur. Winds will shift to the northwest this evening 
and diminish some by mid evening.

...WIND ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM NOON TODAY TO 9 PM PDT THIS
EVENING...

The National Weather Service in Los Angeles/Oxnard has issued a
Wind Advisory, which is in effect from noon today to 9 PM PDT
this evening. 

* WINDS and TIMING...Gusty west to northwest winds 25 to 35 mph
  with gusts to 45 mph will develop across the Antelope Valley.
  Strongest wind gusts will occur across the western portion with
  isolated gusts to 50 mph. Winds are expected to diminish some by
  mid evening hours. 

* IMPACTS...Gusty winds will make driving difficult, especially
  for drivers of high profile vehicles. This includes Highways 14
  and 138, especially near the foothills. Be prepared for sudden
  gusty cross winds and local blowing sand and dust which could
  cause visibility to lower to less than a quarter mile at times.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

When driving, use extra caution. Be prepared for sudden gusty
