...HIGH RIP CURRENT RISK IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM AST THIS EVENING...

The National Weather Service in SAN JUAN has issued a High Rip
Current Risk, which is in effect until 6 PM AST this evening. 

* LOCATION...northwest to northeastern beaches of Puerto Rico. 

* TIMING...through this evening.

* IMPACTS...Strong currents that can carry away even the best of
  swimmers.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

There is a high risk of rip currents.

Swim near a lifeguard. If caught in a rip current, relax and
float. Don't swim against the current. If able, swim in a
direction following the shoreline. If unable to escape, face the
shore and call or wave for help.
