...Dry windy weather pattern will create fire hazard today...

.The combination of a drying pattern, fresh to strong winds and
low relative humidities will create higher fire danger across the
southern coastal plains of Puerto Rico today.

...RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM AST THIS EVENING FOR
FRESH TO STRONG WINDS AND LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY ACROSS FIRE 
WEATHER ZONES 014 AND 027...

The National Weather Service in San Juan has issued a Red Flag
Warning, which is in effect until 6 PM AST this evening. 

* AFFECTED AREA...Fire weather zones 014 and 027.

* WIND...15 TO 20 MPH with local gusts to 30 mph possible.

* HUMIDITY...30-45 percent for several hours early afternoon.

* THUNDERSTORMS...none.

* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly. 
  Outdoor burning is not recommended.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now....or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds...low relative humidity...and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.
