The National Weather Service in San Juan has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Villalba Municipality in Puerto Rico...
  Ponce Municipality in Puerto Rico...
  Juana Diaz Municipality in Puerto Rico...

* Until 400 PM AST

* At 158 PM AST, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
  heavy rain across the warned area. Up to two inches of rain have
  already fallen. Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Ponce, Villalba, Juana Diaz, Potala Pastillo, Aguilita, Coto
  Laurel, Capitanejo, Luis Llorens Torres, Guayabal, Las Ollas, Rio
  Canas Abajo, Marueno, Playita Cortada and Tallaboa.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

A Flash Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring.
If you are in the warned area move to higher ground immediately.
Residents living along streams and creeks should take immediate
precautions to protect life and property.

...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR VILLALBA...PONCE AND JUANA DIAZ
MUNICIPALITIES WILL EXPIRE AT 400 PM AST...

The heavy rain has ended. Flood waters have continued to recede. No 
additional heavy rain is expected at this time. Flash Flooding is no 
longer expected to pose an immediate threat. Therefore the Flash 
Flood Warning was allowed to expire. However the potential for minor 
urban and small stream flooding will continue in some areas and 
therefore the urban and small stream advisory will continue for the 
surrounding rivers and streams. Please continue to heed any 
remaining road closures and allow time for rivers and streams to 
return to normal levels as they are still running at dangerously 
high levels.
