The National Weather Service in Lincoln has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  West central Sangamon County in central Illinois...
  Northern Morgan County in west central Illinois...

* Until 830 AM CDT

* At 235 AM CDT, local law enforcement reported heavy rain across 
  the warned area. Up to two inches of rain have already fallen. An 
  additional one to two inches of rain is possible. Flash flooding 
  is already occurring. Viaducts are flooded in Springfield, with 
  stranded cars on 6th Street and Adlai Stevenson Drive.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Springfield, Jacksonville, Chatham, Alexander, Rochester, New
  Berlin, Chapin, Literberry, Jerome, Southern View, Leland Grove,
  Berry, Curran, Berlin, Concord, Sinclair and Jacksonville Municipal
  Airport.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 55 between mile markers 87 and 96.
 Interstate 72 between mile markers 70 and 102.
