Jasper County in southeastern Illinois... * Until 730 AM CDT. * At 329 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Up to two inches of rain have already fallen. Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly. * Some locations that will experience flooding include... Newton, Ste. Marie, Willow Hill, Hidalgo, West Liberty, Bogota, Hunt City, Yale, Rose Hill and Sam Parr State Park. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are possible in the warned area early this morning. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
