The National Weather Service in Hanford has issued a Wind Advisory, which is in effect from 2 PM this afternoon to 11 PM PDT this evening. * WINDS...West 20 to 30 with gusts of 40 to 50 mph. * IMPACTS...High profile vehicles such as campers and tractor trailers will be most vulnerable to strong cross winds over area highways. Areas of blowing dust and sand will create locally poor visibility. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... A Wind Advisory means that wind gusts of at least 35 mph in the San Joaquin Valley and 45 mph in the Kern county mountains and desert area are expected.
