The National Weather Service in Honolulu has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  The island of Kauai in Kauai County

* Until 645 PM HST

* At 340 PM HST, stream and river gage reports indicated rising 
  runoff from earlier heavy rain over Kauai is reaching flash flood 
  thresholds in Hanalei River and Wailua River, and approaching 
  flood levels in Hanapepe. Flash flooding is already occurring.

* This warning includes the entire island of Kauai.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A flash flood warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring in
streams, roads, and low lying areas. Move to higher ground now.

Do not cross fast flowing water in your vehicle, or on foot. Turn
around, don/t drown.

This warning may need to be extended beyond 645 PM HST if heavy rain
persists.

This flash flood warning replaces the previously issued flood
advisory that was in effect for portions of the island of Kauai in
Kauai County.

The National Weather Service in Honolulu has extended the

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  The island of Kauai in Kauai County

* Until 945 PM HST

* At 637 PM HST, Although radar indicated heavy rain has ended, 
  Kuhio Highway at Hanalei bridge remained closed due to flooding, 
  as reported by emergency management. Runoff from the earlier heavy 
  rain will keep stream levels elevated.

* Locations in the warning include but are not limited to...
  Lihue, Kilauea, Anahola, Mana, Hanalei, Na Pali State Park, Omao,
  Barking Sands, Wainiha, North Fork Wailua Trails, Moloaa and
  Waimea.

...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR THE ISLAND OF KAUAI IN KAUAI COUNTY IS
CANCELLED...

Emergency manager reported one lane is opened on Kuhio highway at 
Hanalei river while stream levels continue to recede. Thus the 
warning is canceled.

A Flash Flood Watch remains in effect for Kauai, Niihau, Oahu, 
Kahoolawe, Lanai, Maui and Molokai through Monday afternoon.
