hazards expected on Saturday...
.Coastal flooding is expected near the time of high tide tonight
along portions of the southwest coast of Maine and Seacoast of New
Hampshire. Any impact will be minor.
In addition, sunshine, warm temperatures in the 75 to 80 degree
range along the shore and relatively light winds are expected
Saturday. Paddlecraft should be aware of the possibility of cold
water immersion as ocean temperatures are still only in the 50s.

Saturday. A Beach Hazards Statement has also been issued. This
Beach Hazards Statement is in effect from Saturday morning
through Saturday evening.
* Location...The southwest coast of Maine and the Seacoast of New
Hampshire.
* Coastal Flooding...Minor.
* Timing...Minor coastal flooding expected after midnight tonight.
High paddlecraft risk on Saturday.
* Beach Hazard...The warm air temperatures in the 75 to 80 degree
range along the shoreline may cause people to underestimate the
dangers of the cold water. Water temperatures are currently
only in the 50s.
* Winds...Southwest around 10 mph.
* Impacts...The cold water temperatures can quickly cause
hypothermia to anyone immersed in the water. Anyone on boats
or paddlecraft should use extreme caution to avoid this threat.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
A Coastal Flood Advisory indicates that onshore winds and tides
will combine to generate flooding of low areas along the shore.
A Beach Hazards Statement is issued on days when a significant

water and when warm air temperatures may cause people to
