* At 1155 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain across the
warned area. Over two inches of rain have already fallen. Flash
flooding is expected to begin shortly.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Cleveland, Hiawassee, Helen, Unicoi State Park, Robertstown, Blue
Mountain Shelter, Mossy Creek, Titus, Mountain Scene, Anna Ruby
Falls, Macedonia, Leaf, Smithgall Woods Conservation Are, Sautee
and Qualatchee Lake.
Additional rainfall amounts of two inches are possible in the warned
area.

TOWNS AND WHITE COUNTIES...
At 255 AM EDT, doppler radar showed that although the widespread
heavier rain has moved out of the area, scattered light to moderate
showers continued. Even though the heavier rainfall has ended, many
area creeks, streams and rivers continue to run at or over bankfull
levels and should continue to do so for the next several hours.

* At 951 AM EDT, gauge reports indicated heavy rain had fallen over
the warned area. Rainfall amounts of 5 to 7 inches with locally
higher amounts up to 8 inches had fallen in the last 24-hours. As
a result, flooding of creeks and rivers are still causing impacts
to the area. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are
possible over the next 24 hours.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include...

Mountain Shelter, Mossy Creek, Titus, Mountain Scene, Anna Ruby

killers in heavy rains. Campers and hikers should avoid streams or
creeks.
