* At 422 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain from Tarpley to
Pipe Creek and Mico Hills. 3 to 5 inches of rain have already
fallen. Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Bandera, Tarpley, Lakehills, Pipe Creek, Bandera Falls, Hill
Country State Natural Area and Lake Medina Shores.
Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the
warned area.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, country roads, farmland, and other low lying
spots.
In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate route.

NORTHERN MEDINA AND CENTRAL BANDERA COUNTIES...
At 518 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated light to moderate rain across
warned area. Rainfall amounts of 3 to 6 inches have been estimated
from near Tarpley to Pipe Creek and Medina Lake. Flash flooding will
continue especially in the Hondo Creek and the branches of Verde
Creek watersheds and between the Bandera area and Medina Lake.
Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Bandera, Tarpley, Lakehills, Pipe Creek, Bandera Falls, Hill Country
State Natural Area and Lake Medina Shores.
Additional rainfall amounts of up to 1 inch are possible in the
warned area.

Bandera to Medina Lake.

Country State Natural Area and Lake Medina Shores.
