* Flash Flood Warning for...
Southern Miami County in east central Kansas...
Northern Linn County in east central Kansas...
* Until 530 PM CDT.
* At 1132 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. In excess of two inches of rain
have already fallen along the border of Miami and Linn counties.
An additional 1 to 2 inches of rain are possible within the next
hour. Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Paola, Osawatomie, La Cygne, Linn Valley, Parker, Fontana, New
Lancaster and Beagle.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 530 PM CDT FOR
SOUTHERN MIAMI AND NORTHERN LINN COUNTIES...
At 120 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain across the warned
area. Two to four inches of rain have fallen within past few hours.
Flash flooding is already occurring. Law enforcement officials
reported 335th Street closed due to flooding along Plum Creek.
Moderate to heavy rain is expected to continue for much of the
afternoon hours. Additional rainfall amounts in excess of an inch
are possible.
Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Paola, Osawatomie, La Cygne, Linn Valley, Parker, Fontana, New
Lancaster and Beagle.
