...The National Weather Service in Corpus Christi has issued a Flood
Warning for the following rivers in Texas...
Nueces River Near Three Rivers affecting Live Oak County
.Recent heavy rainfall over the aforementioned
river basins will result in river rises above flood stage
during the next few days.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
All persons with interests along the river should monitor
the latest forecasts, and be prepared to take necessary
precautions to protect life and property. River stage forecasts
are based on observed and predicted rainfall. If actual
rainfall varies from forecast values, forecast river stages
will vary accordingly.

* Flood Warning for the Nueces River Near Three Rivers.
* from Wednesday morning to late Thursday night...or until the
warning is cancelled.
* At 9:31 AM Tuesday the stage was 20.5 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 25.0 feet.
* Forecast: Rise above flood stage by tomorrow morning and continue
to rise to near 25.9 feet by tomorrow evening. The river will fall
below flood stage by late Thursday morning.
* At 25.0 feet Minor lowland flooding occurs, and damages irrigation
pumps and equipment vulnerable to lowland flooding. Flooding of
secondary roads, low bridges and pastureland also occurs.

* Moderate flooding is occurring and Moderate flooding is forecast.

* Forecast: The river will continue rising to near 18.7 feet early
Saturday morning, then begin a very slow fall.
* At 19.0 feet, major lowland flooding of livestock, roads, irrigation
pumps and tank batteries. Fencing is damaged as well as hunting
cabins.

The Flood Warning continues for the Nueces River At Cotulla.
* from late Saturday night until further notice...or until the
warning is cancelled.
* At 10:00 AM Wednesday the stage was 13.5 feet.
* Moderate flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
* Forecast: Rise above flood stage by early Sunday morning and
continue to rise to near 15.2 feet by Sunday early afternoon.
* At 15.0 feet Moderate lowland flooding occurs. The peripheral
channels between Cotulla and Tilden cut off areas of the flood plain,
and isolate or drown cattle. Irrigation pumps, oil field tanks, and
hunting cabins are flooded near the river.
